Obama is spending to much.

This is the GOP/Fox News main fallacy & is based on a fallacy that all spending is the same, which is not true.

Spending our tax money to benefit Exxon-Mobil, Haliburton, KBR , Blackwater & a few corrupt Iraqi politicians is bad & hurts our economy & benefits very few.

Spending our tax money to benefit average Americans...with jobs, infrastructure repairs, etc is good & this is what Obama is trying to do.

    Only federal taxes hurt people.

While the GOP lowered federal taxes on the richest of us, the rest of us were hurt very badly by the insidious "tax" of high gasoline & home heating prices, making us all spend such a large percentage of our take-home income on energy that we could no longer by cars, home, pay of mortgages or even afford prescription drugs.

(remeber when we were all pying $4.00 + per gallon just a year ago?)

One...Obama IS spending Way way too much. At an alarming rate.

Two...The Bush tax Rebates went to all people paying in federal income taxes, not the rich. I got a tax rebate check in the mail. I am not rich. Most people here in the forum got a tax rebate check in the mail. It was a tax cut. Obama will let this tax cut laps. It will then be a raising of taxes on all people.

Hey Obama-ton. Do you know who the first administration to give Halliburton a " no-bid" contract was ????? Wanna guess ?

It was Clinton. They recieved their first no-bid contract during the Kosovo redirect. Imagine that.

Also, please explain how Obama's plan is working. Be specific becuase your typical obama-tard can't be. Maybe your not typical. The stimulus was supposed to create shovel ready jobs, stop unemployment at around 8 % but ofcourse it didn't work.

Fundemntal mathematical concepts all too often escape the average liberal. Obama depends on the I.Q. of his supporters not breaking the 90 point range and thus not being able to add three numbers without the use of their fingers and toes.

Ah yes, the lies of the liberal left.

The illegitimate Kenyan illegal immigrant has already run up a bigger defecit that EVERY President in US history COMBINED! Oh, but don't worry, he's spending it on jobs (which is why unemployment is now at 17%), infrasctucture repairs (except that none of those are actually getting done), and all of the other "feel good" libtard promises that NEVER come to pass, but of course the average "Hate America First" libtard always falls for it, hook, line and sinker.

Oh, and as for your crap about taxes and fuel prices, it's the DEMONCRAPS that increased those energy taxes to where they are, and it's the DEMONCRAPS who haven't let us build a refinery in this country since the fuckin' 70's. Oh, and don't forget Katrina and Rita which knocked out oil production in the Gulf of Mexico for over a year. And then let's not forget that whole "supply and demand" thing that effects prices on everything. OH, and what about inflation? Did you add that into the mix? So, yeah I guess we can honestly attribute part of the price of fuels over the past few years to those "evil Republicans" manipulating the market, about 10% worth! But WAIT! Before the November election of the illegal Kenyan illegal immigrant, fuel prices were DOWN! In fact they were BELOW where they were back in 2005 BEFORE KATRINA AND RITA!!!!

I cannot defend this so within your list you are right.

Spending our tax money to benefit average Americans...with jobs, infrastructure repairs, etc is good & this is what Obama is trying to do.

By using your first example wouldn't it be reasonable to conclude that spending our way into anything is objectionable? Wouldn't it be reasonable to look upon the GOPs spending issues and conclude that its not a good idea for any sitting president, let alone GOP or DEM, to do this? What lessons did Bush and the GOP teach us in this matter? And shouldn't it be a positive form of discourse to use that history as a model of what not to do?

Bush couldn't spend us into safety but he tried. What difference is that in concerns what Obama is "trying to do?"

The fallacy is that for some reason the spending IS different, when its not. What if Obama doesn't succeed? Will he be just like the GOP in that he was trying to spend us into prosperity but failed to do so, even if there was a difference between GOP excess and DEM excess?

    Only federal taxes hurt people.

Yes I remember and how long did it last? IMO it didn't last very long. But with that said, can I see a direct connection between the GOP and high gas prices? Not just Bush, the entire GOP as stated in the OP. I mean if its a fallacy that must mean there is data to back up that statement. Right?

Someone always seems to get the short stick depending on who is in the White House and I think its gone on far too long for us as a public, to accept that by any means. Why does some group always have to suffer due to the current seated administration? I say we stop blaming the other aisle and reform and expect a lot more out of our government.

Oh right....& we're all to stupid to realize that a few hundred give to us peons as a laughable tax break.......wasn't immediately handed over to Bush's oil company buds for us to pay for enough gas to get to work.
