Thread: 4 simple questions help with an assignment

So this is my first time ever writing on one of these, but I need some help with a prject I am doing for my US government class. So if you could please take the time to answer these 4 short questions for me it would really help. Your answers don't need to be any more than one sentence, but if you'd like to take the time and answer them with more than that, please feel free. Thanks!

1. What party are you registered as and why did you choose to register as this?

2. How do you see your party as different or better than the others?

3. Have you ever voted for a candidate belonging to a different party? If so, why?

4. If you'd like, you may list your name, occupation, and ethnic make-up.

Libertarian. Merely because they aren't Republicans or Democrats.

Sure. Once when the Democrats in California stupidly forced party primaries to the open ballot, I voted for the second worst candidate the Democrats had becuase the only Republican candidate was going to need all the help he could get in November. Unfortunately, the worst Democrat (not the worst candidate) won the nomination, and as expected, the Republican got his butt whupped by Gray Davis.

1. I am not registered with any political party. In Tx we do not have to register with a party.
2. Mine is ceratinly less incumbent.
3. I guess my answers won't make any sense.

1. Not registered as anything but consider myself closest to the Libertarian party because it provides the least amount of limits on my personal freedom.

2. Not interested in playing the game of politics like Republicans or Democrats.

Not to be a suspicious bastard.... but what kind of class asks you to contact strangers about their political positions and personal information. In what way can you submit this data to a teacher?

2. How do you see your party as different or better than the others?
I think the Democratic party is in more touch of the needs of the average American than the Republican party is and I agree with them probably on the most issues of all the parties.

Yes, well the man is my town's former mayor and a great guy who really does a lot for his constiuents and is a maverick on issues.

Yeah - I'm just wondering why a teacher would say "for the weekend, find a random bunch of people and ask them about their political beliefs and then tell me what they said".

I'm just saying. Maybe polling or surverying was the goal.
