Thread: Why Do Hopeful Presidential Candidates....

Always write a book? Some of them don't seem to have even read a book, then they write one?
Do people actually read the stuff? I have not read one book that a candidate has written (ghost writers?) I figure it has to be more campaign gimmicks.

Of course it's a campaign gimmick. But also, it can backfire on them. Especially when they run for a higher office like....God, I mean President of the United States...(sorry.) Because then people can pull out your book, cite certain passages where you wrote down what you would do if you were President or what you believe in and call you on it; (as to why you are going against your beliefs that are forever conveyed in a book.)
