Thread: Inner City Abandonment

The quality of life in the inner city is atrocious. Now we all know the majority of residents in the inner city "ghetto" are black. No, this is not prejudice; no, this is not discrimination. Anyways, I'm not sure of the exact numbers but the graduation rate of black males are unbelievable. Also, the ratio of black males between 16 and 25 is abnormally high. The explanation of why this problem is not being addressed is obvious. Democrats already have the black vote, so why bother? Republicans can't do anything to sway the black vote, so why bother? I'll try and find some links, but meanwhile, what can we do to fix this?

What can who do what to fix what?

Also, "the ratio of black males between 16 to 25 is abnormally high" compared to what?

The problems of life in the inner city are welfare and it's inevitable handmaiden, crime. Plus, damn whitey ran away to the suburbs taking his ability to pay property taxes with his sorry ass. All people who can be shown to have lived in an inner city or who's can be shown to have descended from someone who lived in an inner city should be taxed to pay for inner city urban renewal renewal. Since it's whitey's fault that the cities decayed, whitey should pay reparations.

Maybe the graduation rates are so low because instead of staying in school and studying and getting good grades so they can get a good job....they'd rather just drop out and hang out in da hood and become Gangsta's dealing drugs and the like and father a bunch of children with a bunch of different women and get welfare checks for their brood.

Afterall graduating from high school and going to college AREN'T as 'um "glamorous" as being a Gangsta.

IMO the only way to fix this is to wean them off the dependence of the government. Eliminate welfare, eliminate food stamps, etc... I don't mean everybody, but a lot of these people are on it for a lifetime. That is just ridiculous. I used to be a collector for a rental company in Augusta Ga, and spent a lot of time in the projects down there. Man, them people were living better than me and I was working for a living. New cars, leather furniture, new home stereo equipment, etc... They found a way to take advantage and beat the system and they did it regularly. I feel sorry for the few that actually have limited choices, but many of them want to play pity me while living the high life off of my dime.

Bill Cosby has been addressing this problem a lot, also the unwed birthrate. He gets pilloried & slammed by the race pimps. So long as the people involved won't listen to a voice of reason from one of their own, I doubt that it can be fixed.

It's not I agree.

There's too many young black males just wasting their lives, they've been taught that dropping out of school makes them cool and acting like Gangsta rappers makes them cool, and fathering bunches of children and not supporting them makes them REAL men out there spreading their seed.

Young black males need some better role models, who they can learn from, who can teach them that staying in school is cool, getting good grades is cool, graduating is cool....and being able to get a job and be successful is cool, and supporting their family is cool and the right thing to do.

Sorry if I phrased my comments in a way that you didn't like, I was trying to make a point.

Bill Cosby has made a lot of sense on this issue, he's someone that they could learn from....but instead of learning, they choose to slice and dice him for telling the truth.
