    Gov't Thought Police in Action

Using the "N-word" in Brazoria may cost you $500 | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

Don't get me wrong I think the word in question is a disgusting slur but who the hell does this jack ass think he is? What words would follow if this law was implemented and how exactly would it be enforced ? If someone was a habitual offender would they eventually be sent to prison for using this word ?

This is complete racisim, the article says that you can us the word in a friendly greeting, not much of that in my family. This does get worse however, soon gongress will debate a new hate law bill. The dems will tear the first admendment a new one with it. Just what we need, both parties hate our constitution.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Any other part of the first Admendment that you are against?

Yea. The absurd notion that freedom of speech is unlimited and absolute. It's not. No right is.

People absuse the notion of rights to cause suffering to others. That's unethical. For instance, Fred Phelps. He deliberately protests outside of gay family's funernals, drowning their procession out and fucking up the funeral. The sole purpose is to cause misery.

This shouldn't be allowed. He belongs in prison. Not terrorizing people with his "free speech" charade. The universe won't collapse without absolute freedom to terrorize. Other nations have done it (one example which comes to mind is the Holocaust denier asstard) and the world hasn't collapsed because of it.

I think that this bill is ridiculous. I feel that it is an inappropriate breach of our First Amendment rights. Calling someone names need not be prohibited by law.

"Hey poopy face, come over here!" "What did you say? I'm gonna take you to court!" That's just ridiculous.

I may be wrong, but does anyone have a reason to support this bill?

    "Poopy face"?

Ken Corley is offensive, they should get rid of him.

I would be trying to get rid of the nut if I lived in this town. My God, I wish there was something I could do to get rid of our President who's trying and has succeeded in taking away more deserved rights than this guy.
