    Jesus Christ Mike... Has it ever dawned on you that all your whining and pissing about living in a "police state" under "martial law" is potentially offensive to those that have actually gone through such scenarios in real life? Doesn't the fact that despite all your years of online paranoid rantings, our "police state" doesn't give even the slightest flying fuck about you?

    As an "essential service provider" I am given a priority flu shot (when they arrive from Britain where we bought them). I already e-mailed my "no thanks" response.



    Oddly enough I was neither fired, reprimanded, followed home by shadowy agents, conspired against in dark rooms by cigar-smoking, European Bond villans, tagged with a tattoo bar code, drugged and bound and photogrpahed next to a dead hooker and blackmailed, or just shot on sight.



    It was almost as if Public Safety Canada saw a flu danger, ordered a vaccination to be made available to whatever emergency service providers, old people and kids felt they needed it, paid for it under existing emergency management channels, and then went about their days not realy caring if any individual people took it or not.



    I am being forced to look at laminated 'wash your hands for 20 seconds' reminder signs every time I use a public washroom - so I guess that's a kind of tyranny and oppression.



    I find it hard to work up a good mad about it - have to be honest.

    Are you suggesting that those who are known to be contagious be encouraged to mingle at tea party rallies? or better yet at schools where my daughter or your grandkids are at?

    Are you asking me, should people be locked up for having a flu? It is a flu for Christ sake. Have yo never seen kids at school with a flu?

    There are appropriate times for martial law.



    If it is just a flu then that is not the time.



    If it is a 1918 type flu and a community is in the middle of a 50% case fatality rate then that is the right time with the right court orders. I suspect that you, Michael, will have the provisions to stay in side for a few weeks and not starve (LDS right?). I pity those who do not have a full pantry should that scenario ever happen.
