Bassman- Yes this is Detroit, I can just imagine what the picture would look like had the GOP had it's way and blocked the bailout of the Car Manufacturing giants and refused to bail out the US banking system. This picture would be common in your neighborhood had the right been allowed to cut the throat of America. Now the car companies are thriving, stock prices are rising, demand for US autos are rising here and abroad and more workers are being called back to the assembly line and small and medium sized parts suppliers did not go belly up due to the audacity of a president who siggested we save American jobs.........."nuff said." As a Democrat, I take solace in the fact that the Republicans have nominated the guy who lost the nomination to the guy who lost the presidency to the guy who is now the President.

If so, may I inquire as to why? It is true that I have always voted Republican in the general elections but have always voted Democrat or Independent in my Virginia, Maryland and Texas state and local elections. This year I plan to vote for Mr. Obama as I believe he has lead this nation well under the most adverse circumstances and with the most vehement and ruinous opposition by the party in control of the congress. Now I want to make it clear, I am NOT going to report your post and I am not going to attack you in return.
I am only asking yoou if it was directed at me and if so, I would ask that you look at all my previous posts on this site and you will get a better understanding of me and my positions. If you did intend this attack against me, I would ask you to rescind it please with nothing more needed to be said nor any action either way taken by me. I have no malice towards you and only hope we can better understand each other and move on and maybe become posting friends over time if you wish. I want no probllems with anyone on PH. I have read your posts and we may be closer in idealogoy than you may know.

Bassman, your an ass man. We had a one Party Rule the first two years of the Obama Administration. Most of the debt incurred in Obama's first two years was from Bush's Medicare Part D, the wars he left us, and the worst economy since the Depression, A Shithole to say the least. Obama's stimulas which was 36% tax relief is looking better everyday. The Unemployment rate is coming down and President Obama is beating the crap out of any one of the Republican Candidates in the polls.
