BTW, this is Detroit! 'nuff said.
I'm beginning to suspect that that is a photograph of your own front yard.
As a Democrat, I take solace in the fact that the Republicans have nominated the guy who lost the nomination to the guy who lost the presidency to the guy who is now the President.

You must be kidding. Repeal of Glass Steigall allowed the banks to create trillions of dollars of worthless derivatives. It made the housing bubble possible. The banks made a killing and in the process may have ruined the country.

So you want to make it virtually impossible for average blokes to make it big again?? And if they do they have to bend over and spread the cheeks for the government as they take all of their earnings??

Glass Steigall had nothing to do with average blokes. It was to protect us from companies that are too big to fail.
More people made it big before Glass Steagall was repealed and more people lost their asses after it was repealed.

No? Prove it. Its never been tried. Taxing the poor and middle class 100% has been approached lots and it doesn't work. Taxing the rich 100% should be tried just for shits & giggles. After all, they are a minority. Trampling them should be easy.

Gas was 1.55 at the end of 2000. At the end of 2006 it was over 3 bucks a gallon. Look it up.
And in late Jusly or early August of 2008 regual unleaded in St. louis hi $4.099/gal. Amd St. Louis generally has some of the lowest prices in the country at any given time.
    Bass doesn't mention that.

Right. Just like Bass doesn't mention that gas prices were actively gamed by the Administration's connections to keep the rabble in line. Might have had something to do with the Administrations promises that the Iraq invasion would result in lower gas prices. Hey Bass, what were the gas prices like worldwide while ours were so low?
