    National Integralism

Just wanted to know what you guys make of National Integralism

National Integralism is a British originated political ideology based on the ideas of several political theorists such as Emille Durkheim, Georg Hegel, Charles Maurras and Giovanni Gentile. National Integralism is a perspective according to which nation and society is regarded as an organic entity.

National Integralism defends social differentiation and hierarchy with co-operation between social classes, while emphasising the importance of community in the functioning of political life. National Integralism also transcends conflict between social and economic groups because the state is responsible for negotiating compromise when conflicts arise between businesses and worker via the corporatist political system.

National Integralism in some areas can be associated with the French Action Française movement, One of the most important principles in National Integralism is the "Internal Revolution", or "Revolution of the Self", through which individuals are encouraged to stop struggling only for self interest, and instead work for the greater social collective to achieve a millenarian national rebirth.

The foundations of the National Integralist ideals, are known as the points", the key points include: Integral nationalism, Social justice, Economic corporatism, Social meritocracy and Political Sovereignty. National Integralism can be described as a third way ideology, as it rejects the extremes of both Capitalism and Communism; however it is mostly characterised as proletarian in nature.

National Integralism is generally a difficult ideology to define, and is an ideology which develops in conjunction with a particular national culture therefore it would vary in principles from nation to nation.

Supporters of National Integralism often describe the ideology as populist, albeit in the sense that they believe it embodies the interests of the masses, and in particular the most vulnerable social strata. National Integralism is the political ideology of the Workers People's Party (UK) founded in 2011 and at present is the only organisation who claims to follow this doctrine.

I'm sorry my english cousin but while many of us do have some education almost none of us have a background in political science.......and it shows. It's little wonder we have so few europeans around here. You're only options are for you to give us the short and sweet on your movement or bail on us and never look back.

Sounds interesting though. It's rather similar to an American idea from Teddy Roosevelt called the "New Nationalism."

New Nationalism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Even when alternative views are clearly wrong, being exposed to them still expands our creative potential. In a way, the power of dissent is the power of surprise. After hearing someone shout out an errant answer, we work to understand it, which causes us to reassess our initial assumptions and try out new perspectives. “Authentic dissent can be difficult, but it’s always invigorating,” Nemeth says.

Nationalism is out of style in the US. The globalists hold sway - however they'd probably like the "economic corporatism" portion of your agenda.

    This is kinda interesting:

A National Health Service to include all existing government medical agencies.
Social insurance, to provide for the elderly, the unemployed, and the disabled.
    Limited injunctions in strikes.
A minimum wage law for women.
    An eight hour workday.
    A federal securities commission.
    Farm relief.
    Workers' compensation for work-related injuries.
    An inheritance tax.
A Constitutional amendment to allow a Federal income tax.

I don't know if nationalism is out of style in the US from where we are America appears to be very nationalist-patriotic country. I suppose Americans may see it differently from the inside. But from how I see it there is not another western world nation that waves flags as much as you guys do. Just because a system or organisation is not named national this or that it does not mean it isn't.

    Socialism with a new label.

    How wonderful.

    Not.

Let's get back to good old fashioned freedom-based capitalism, and abandon all these faddy failed socialist scams.

Well, if you idiots would bring yourselves to accept the need for a little regulation, you might get some play with ideas like that.

Without the regulation though - NO, you suck, and you walk. Sorry. Better luck next time.

I have a small background in political science, academic. It was my minor way back in 2005.

But political science is supposed to be classifications applied to common threads we notice between natural movements. I hate this notion that some person or people pick a classification first, join it like a school club, and then base their actions on what they've pre-decided their political stance to be.

It's not supposed to be "I think I'm gonna be a Marxist. They believe in public ownership of industry. Ok, so now I've decided that I'm gonna go campaign for nationalized agriculture. Cause that's what "My team" wants" That's just stupid.

When we say Marxism we mean someone somewhere said, "we're out here working like slaves, we're sick, hungry, destitute and there is no hope of anything ever changing because a little cabal of landowners has total control over our political systems. I think I'm gonna take this rake and shove it up the landlord's ass. And once I do that, someone will still need to harvest the food or we'll all starve. I guess we could set up some kind of organization committee to oversee production and everyone will have to pitch in and get the crop in so we can eat. Everyone will have to do what they can, everyone, cause the hereditary 'Lord of the Manor' aint gonna take all our labour for his own profit while our children live in shit anymore."

And then OTHER people look at that and say that it had similarities with other similar events elsewhere and classify them as Marxist. The people involved don't consider themselves part of any group or team. They were trying to look after their families the best way they knew how.

The OP philosophy just seems like bored academics trying to invent a new word. We don't recognise social classes in North America, but the idea that government mediates between elements of society is actually quite common, and I'd say it reflects the majority opinion here in Canada. But nobody did that on purpose after deciding that they would advocate that. There are more parts of society we DON'T want government mediating then the ones we do.

Common sense has to come before ideology. No ideology is going to apply to more than 10-20% of situations.

Capitalism isn't a good guiding philosphy for fire departments or intelligence agencies. It's a horrific idea for a justice system. It's the ONLY good system for industry.

Anyone who's 'pre-chosen' an ideology they're gonna apply to all these areas is going to fuck everything up in very easily forseen ways. People need to grow up and stop aching to belong to a "team".

When you hear someone say something like "I'm a Conservative", or "I'm a Liberal" ... using the words as some kind of 'team' you pick and then cheer for. They don't know what the fuck they're talking about. They're like kids choosing a favorite number.

Not to mention we don't have a Parliamentary system, so it's unlikely we'll ever get to see a "third way" - any third way.
