I've brought this up before but here's a problem I see all the time:
Member "B" will claim member "A" said or believes "X" & then rail against "X" without providing any evidence that member "A" actually said anything of the kind. (Most of the time, if member "A" denies ever saying it & demands proof, it will be ignored by member "B")
I propose a new forum rule that if someone claims something was said.... & a dispute arises over it..... the claiming member MUST provide proof in the form of posting the actual quote or a direct link to it or be penalized in some way. (I would suggest a Thread Ban in egregious cases)
Here's a slightly exaggerated example I'll make up:
Member "A": "Beautiful day outside today, eh?"
Member "B: "Well obviously member "A" could care less about the suffering going on in Syria because he just said so!"
Member "A" "I never said anything of the kind!. Let's see your proof?!?"
Member "B: (Silence)
This is a recurring problem & one that could be easily rectified.
