I only ask because I have on that appears blocked. It was a question posed to me by another member. I noticed a red X, looked at it, and it states that I can not respond.

So much for privacy in private messaging, and I kind of find it odd that either mine was singled out, or, the only other alternative, all are being read.

The person sending it has you on ignore?

The red X means that the other person has deleted the msg from their PM box. Therefore, you can't respond to a post that has been deleted. I asked this question, as did several others in a feedback thread way before Christmas and that was the answer provided.

As far as reading PM's, again I asked this question shortly after joining. PH said that only he has the ability to do so but stated that he has only read one, because one member was stalking another member. That happened before I was a member.

PH doesn't have the time to read our posts let alone read our Pm's. I think your pm's are pretty secure.

Or they deleted it without responding.

For me, I've noticed that a red X appears when the other person deletes the message thread before I do.

That splains it, thank you very much. I noticed just now that there is a second red X, gee I wonder who those were to/from!!

You're quite welcome. I have to clean my pm box out on an almost daily basis so everyone probably sees a red X from time to time!
