Thread: Idiots

I got a "warning" for insinuating that another forum member was an idiot tonight. I didn't actually call him an idiot, I just insinuated that he might be, and that was enough to draw a warning from the mods. Ridiculous!

I guess it's just another example of the pussification of this country. Now everyone gets a trophy for participating and nobody is a loser. Is this the Special Olympics?

I have had a long hard life and have seen a lot of idiots in that time but I never saw as many as I have witnessed on this website.

This place abounds with mediocrity and idiocy, I could care less if I were banned from this pitiful discussion group because after all is said and done, this forum is ineffectual and irrelevant in it's existence.

Nothing typed here make a bit of difference to the world at large. No difference!

Even though rookie has not signed up for access to R&R I am moving it there.........it does not belong in politics. As irrelevant as this place is anyway I don't think he would care.

Thats not exactly true. I have seen some very well thought out arguments posted here, that have caused me to take a look at my position on certain issues. To me, thats what it's all about...reading other people's opinions, looking at things from a different prospective, and learning from the other people that post here.

And insinuating that someone is an idiot because they think differently than you will accomplish nothing. Instead prove why their position is wrong. That seems to be a more effective strategy.

perhaps a forum doesn't make a difference on an organizational scale, but it definitely makes a difference on an individual scale - so I'd say you are wrong.

Sounds like you have an inability to communicate without insulting people or getting personal with people and get annoyed when people tell you to avoid the insults and personal remarks. Why is that do you think?

Here are some theories I have:

1-any idiot can call people names, but the point of debate is to exchange ideas without being abusive and rendering the debate meaningless by simply name calling;

2-if you want to call people poo poo heads on this forum you do it in this section;

3-your use of the word "pussification" and then suggesting this forum and everyone on it is inferior to suggests you are over compensating for;
i-a small penis
ii-bad skin complexion
iii-unresolved childhood issues
iv-sexual impotence, performance anxiety and being afraid of vaginas;

4-you are a virgin and are angry about that.


In regards to 1, the comments in 2,3 and 4 are designed to establish that calling people an idiot may not establish your credibility.

Or, if I am right about 2,3 and/or 4, then you would be right, calling people idiots may be insightful and mean you are very perceptive.
