Have you guys noticed that Lakeman has recently taken to doing nothing but bitch about Obama, Social Democrats and the like? Perhaps JoMism is infectious :laughing:

I didn't think the Jomish were allowed to use computers. I guess they've gotten more liberal.

In all fairness, I have had a few private conversations with Lake and I find him to be a sincere and generally nice person who not only talks the talk but walks the walk. I highly doubt that he is JOM.

From what I have read of Lakeman while I am on opposites of many things with him, he is a sincere, gentle, respectful person. The fact that he is mostly wrong about everything is unfortunate. No just joking on the last part.

I like classic Conservatives like Lakeman precisely because they respect my right to be different then them. I think he has some strong fundamenal beliefs which I may not necessarily agree with but very much respect since they are the essential ingredient of his soul and very essence. I respect his values precisely because I agree with the same basic core beliefs he follows one of which is we must respect life and treat people as we want to be treated. I consider my differences more to do with how to practically apply certain beliefs, not the beliefs themselves.

I actually am more comfortable with Lakeman then I am "Liberals" in the sense that I know exactly where he stands on things. I respect that a lot. He says what he believes.I hate people that beat around the bush.

As for his support of McCain and comments about Obama I would not worry. He will be sent to redoctrination camp with Sarah Palin in a few weeks and be forced to read Playboy magazines and watch reruns of Baywatch.

Actually I have no clue ... I haven't been here for a while.

I guess I'll just have to take your word for it Ausinus.

And truth be told, any sense of integrity that I percieved he had is now gone. I mean for fuck's sake what sensible person posts 5 threads a day about stupid topics?

I know what you mean, Ausinus. Lakeman DOES seem to have shifted into hyperconservative mode here in the last week of the presidential campaign. But I'm sure he'll be back to being smart and reasonable in about eight days.
