    How to red someone

I was just reded by the same clown who reded me before, simply because I stated something that he apparently disagreed with. To me it seemed like a personal attack for I try and maintain a certain amount of decorum, although once in a while I do slip up. Can we not critisize the crown on this forum without getting reded?

I just think it to be petty to red someone for anything other than a personal attack.

Anyhow could someone give mean the grounds for redding someone? Maybe I am wrong! I am still fairly new to this.

I have given I believe 7 reds since I became a member. I am attacked for my beliefs every day, but I hate to zap someone for speaking their mind. It really takes a lot but thank god my points are powerful and if need be I will put the hammer down.

Fantastic question, I'm happy you brought it up.

Forgive me, but I have to rant first before I can answer your question directly. In my opinion, we should allow insults, but we should not allow immature people to have access. What that would do is allow people who contribute substance to tell someone off once in a while, but that random and probably rare insult wouldn't change the nature of the board.

If it were entirely up to me, you could say things like "sparta, I'm tired of you repeating the same party line all the time, you're ignorant, and you're also an asshole". Then, if you were of a certain maturity level, and I was of the same level, we'd move past that and focus on the reasons why we're here.

Instead what we get are emotionally undeveloped people who harp and focus on crude forms of communication, you tell them whatfor one time and "it's on". Or they want to tell you whatfor all the time without actually bringing up any points worth discussing.

You can easily recognise these people because on one day they'll demand a new rule to govern a behavior, or complain about a behavori, and then on the next day they'll take up that same exact behavior.

So, if it were up to me this question wouldn't need to be asked in the first place. Since it does need to be asked, then I suppose the answer is hand out reds in a fashion that makes you feel good about your conduct. If you refrain from insulting members with a red then it's all good. Personally I find that if I don't hand out reds for any reason whatsoever, I feel more growed up than the person I wanted to red, really, really, bad.

    Re: How to red someone

I have not redid anyone because I do not feel that there has been enough reason too. I am all for free speech, even the hurtful kind or ludicrous speech for I feel this world is better off hearing all kinds of ideas so we can make informed decisions. That does not mean that I support said ideas but at least I will tolerate them being spoken. As we all know from this campaign, speech can have unintended consequences. So I guess it boils down to maturity and education.

I can take my lumps as good as most . It just seems so petty that someone would be so juvenile or maybe they are.

I'm given a red from time to time, usually by the same retards. Big deal. I ignore it as the musings of an asshole who's intellectually immature.

If I remember that was number four, that was pretty screwed of me. Let me try to counter it.

I have been working hard to reverse that, it wont let me as I just gave you a green a few days ago. I will reverse this red I gave you, but I would rather you tell the complete story at the same time.

I will counter it ASAP, and I should have never given it to you. Shit you just gave me a green a day or so ago, thanks!!
