Things change sometimes and often someone is left out. I don't know. I'm not sure I know people here as liberal and conservative anymore. I know you by name.
Here are some of my theories, JOM:
They shed their skins in autumn, but they'll be back once their new skin hardens up
Obama is making too much sense
They know Palin is an idiot and they're off nursing their cognitive dissonance
They're secretly freaked out about the names Trig, Track, Bristol, Willow and Piper
They lefties here are too smart for them
Liberals are mean SOBs
JOM is ruining their debate cred
The other forum has rules against demanding rational answers and sources
Too much blue in the Ballot color scheme
I think people leave here because what they want out of a debate site is more than they can realistically get. I hate the word debate. I use this as more of a discussion forum. I have had some great conversations over the last week, with folks that I ideologically disagree with. I didn't change any minds, nor did they mine. But I feel like all parties are better off having a better understanding of where the other side is coming from.
I hate to point the finger at anyone in particular, but it seems like some people just take this pompous stance that they are right, and if anyone else doesn't see it, they must be stupid. Eventually they get pissed because people won't agree with them, pout, stomp their feet, and leave. Then bash this site when they do.
I say good fucking riddance.
No the problem is, it seems like some people just take this pompous stance that they are right, and if anyone else doesn't see it, they must be stupid. These people then proceed to call the other one stupid. They do it over and over. Instead of discussing the issue they insult or they make their point and still call the other person stupid or a pussy or what have you.
