Thread: It really sucks

I remember looking foward to getting home so I could come talk on this forum, I love the colors, I love the setup, and I actually had respect for some of the liberals on this board, IE, TFM and even Davo. Even more, I miss the robust debates and lively conversations I would have have with my fellow PH board members. ( I miss birdy and fishy)


It is not the same for me anymore, I feel like an outcast and because of some ugliness from at least 4 members on this board I do not feel comfortable here anymore. And that really sucks. DF forums are ok, but they will probably never be what PH was for me. I have a sour taste in my mouth and it really pisses me off.

Because some people are so full of hate, I am not able to enjoy one of my favorite ways to blow off steam. And that really, really sucks.......

I have watched as member after member has been banned, some deservedly sure, and others, just because they had the gal to question some of the mods motives. At the end of the day, I am not the only one to lose out, it is the rest of the members here that lose out as well.

Anyway, this is my rant, It may not be the most profound thing you read today, nor the most profound thing I have written today, I just wanted to get this off my chest.

Well as far as member count goes, not many members have left the site. Only a few key members are gone for good and that had very very little to do with moderators and more to do with their personal choices. The only questions that came to mods came after the problem had shown its ugly head, which had nothing to do with mods. So lets be really clear about that okay?

As far as other member's opinion of you; well you aren't going to make everyone happy. Some will take what you say as complete gospel and fly off the handle with it. Some will take it with a grain of salt. However there is simply no reason you can't enjoy the board anymore because of what people think. Your participation here is why you are here and always welcome. Chin up Ron, you are capable of being yourself and setting those straight who have the wrong idea.

From personal experience I know that people will think all kinds of things about you that aren't true whatsoever. Again, has to do with the grain of salt thing.

I hope you do come back man and continue on in this political discussion community and roll with the punches. They come and they go but you can stand firm, you seem like a strong enough person. Give it a go?

Sometimes it sucks for me too. I hope it works out for you, if you decided not to come back it would be a loss.

It's the internet man...? Trust me, PH has the nicest colors.. She's like a fine woman, easy on the eyes...

Ronster, I for one think it would be a loss to the forum if you leave.

Man Ronster, you are one of the three or four people here who have ever redded me. If I recall correctly (and I do), your red said "Dude that dog in your avatar is really cute!!!!" (Obviously, I used my picture as an avatar back then.) I cherish all the reds I get, but yours takes the cake, no doubt. I can't afford to lose you. I'll be heartbroken if you leave. Don't go!

I'm busting ya a little, but in all seriousness, I think you're an overall cool person and I would miss your perspective. And the red made me literally laugh aloud. (Plus, I incidentally got a "you're hot if that's really you in your avatar" PM on the very same day, so my vanity wasn't crushed THAT bad.)
