I was wondering since another call out thread was posted how well does Ballot.com track click/eyeball revenue per contributer?

In this case a moderator posted a call-out thread about four members. The bans and probation awards seem to track how much the member torques off visitors and contributing members and therefore costs the publisher revenue rather than the published rules. That's fine with me, I am a capitalist. But I have noticed that this simple survival mechanism seems to upset the more liberal members of the forum. Actual Marxists and such seem to have less of a problem with this reality of survival and I was wondering why? An asshole that generates revenue is simply more valuable than an otherwise nice person who doesn't, why is this hard to understand?

The better ad revenue is tracked per member the more the rules can be tweaked to generate more revenue to create more features to attract more members who attract more revenue. Currently thread count has been going down despite more features being added. That is a critical problem that adversely affects the site as an ongoing enterprise. Since I like it here that concerns me.

I have a small bit of experience with Google Ads and unless someone clicks through its not generating any revenue whatsoever. SO you can have 20 members who click all day and 100000000 members who never click and the 20 is doing more. Now I will admit my experience is limited on this so if I'm missing the point, say so.

Thread count, in my sight, fluxes up and down and has done so for the time I've been on here. Weekends are a bad time to assess this unless you are seeing this from a longer perspective.

I've noticed that thread count has been down since the latest new features were added which may indeed be too small of a baseline. But since about that time I have noticed much less feedback from other forums (I try to stick to the same nick everywhere). If I don't see complaints about my posts on other fora I get concerned. Hopefully it is along the lines of "Too much sugarcoating." but even "You idiot, @@***&" is useful if I want to collect my articles and columns into a book, which I do. Maybe it is simply the end of the primary season but the death spirals of the real estate and equities markets should be generating buzz and I do not see it happening.

If viewership and therefore clicks are being lost to pointless flame wars that is serious.
