Can I just run this up the flagpole and see who salutes?

Every day I come here and every thread from the day before is now forgotten on page 3 and there are 20 new threads - all from two or three posters. There are a few who come on every day and make 10 new threads, pushing everythign else out of the way, then the next day ten more, then ten more.

Is there an appetite for a weekly limit of new threads by one user? Like 5?

I's just asking if I'm the only one frustrated that there can't be any conversation when there are just 30 new threads per day and everythign else is burried.

Not a bad idea. But you know someone will yell that we are infringing upon some freedom.

I just want threads that invite discussion. If I smell Whack-a-Mole, I move on. Most of the new thread same as the old thread stuff is Whack-a-Mole.

I like the proposal of 5 new threads per week.

I agree there should be a limit and 5 per week sounds about right. Some of them are so retarded the mods ought to delete them when seen, end of story.

Nice to see you admit that we are obviously talking about the fuckin stupid threads invariably started by the right.

Maybe if you are starting a thread and posting a link it must be taken from a reliable source like an AP article. Anything of merit the AP will have articles on. The stupid threads started with links to Op-eds from ridiculous sources should simply be deleted.

Good idea! And see, if kmiller and I can both agree on something such as this the idea must have merit.

Can the software keep count and tell a member, sorry, you've already used your 5?

Knuckles is very right, a half dozen stupid threads per day just fucks up the whole board.

And watch, the ones coming on saying no we should not do this are probably the ones starting a half-dozen stupid threads everyday.
