I have never seen any Board Member on any forum managing to refrain from expressing his/her disgust with the moderation, the censorship practice and the moderators themselves, whenever he/she is compromized by the censoring.

I have also never seen any moderator not banning members he/she has not been particularly fond of. There are just different limits to how far the disliking can go before a ban is issued.

Being issued moderation priviledges is considered a handout of trust, and is flattering. It is only natural that anyone will show gratitude by doing a good job at moderating. If you wanna do a good job at moderating, you have to moderate. That means enforcing rules. So, with some new mods, there will always be more moderating and less lenience.

This was inevitable.
