My gawd, I buy less & spend more!!! I think a lot of it has to do with corn, yep, corn. Now that there's a mandate to provide a certain percentage ethanol on the market, & corn growers being subsadized, ethanol manufacturing plant building being subsadized, it's outrageous!! Are we using less oil? Nope, but we're paying more for everything because of the corn.
Does food & energy show up in the inflation numbers? Nope....why?

I've had to live off grilled cheese for a week cause i'm a broke ass college student....maybe that'll make ya feel a lil better.

Corn and food are effected by oil prices too. The avarage meal travels about 1300 miles to get to your house (Unless you live in Texas, and raise cows in your garage).

Of course food & corn are effected by oil prices, but energy nor food are factored into inflation. That's nuts, or a shell game.

Energy IS inflation. Cigarettes, food, clothes, building material and thus housing, are a few examples of things that are extremely reliant on energy prices, for production, transportation, and raw materials. Oil goes up= everything goes up. Buy local.
