If I didn't care about this site, I wouldn't be going after Mr. r. He has brought this site down to were it is today. So if you want to blame anyone for the current state then you should be asking him why he fucks everything up he puts his hands on, including my dog.

Your post, along with the locked threads you reference, spotlight the problem. The action of the mods make it clear, those members who moderate the board can do no wrong and cannot be called out, even if their wrongs are not as mods but as members. That, combined with some odd protection afforded to a very troubled poster on the board, is the problem and what has been the problem for weeks now.



Whenever the membership calls for fairness the rules become the focus. Thank god this time new rules have not been proposed. It is as if the entire membership cannot follow the rules simply because some of the membership seek answers as to why a few are allowed to post such extreme and/or insulting posts.



The rules are then used to remind the members they must sit down and shut up or else.



Under a version of the rules your OP appears to violate the rules and may be locked. As JOM highlighted in the feedback thread which purportedly allows for discussion of the rules, arm chair moderating or telling the mods how to do their job or calling for banning of members is not allowed.



Of course, no one really knows which version of the rules govern. No notice has been provided to the general membership and so many versions have been put forth that it is uncertain which rules do govern. If I were a new member I would look to the administrator's or the owner's rules as found in PH's ground rules thread.



Bold action is not what is needed.



Even handed moderation is what is needed and all most members desire.

Look folks....we have been heading in that direction for decades no matter WHAT party is in office. Do I think the US will be a totalitarian state one day? Maybe...but it will be long after I am gone. But all this nonsense of name calling and personal attacks because of differences of OPINION (Yes, this is a forum to discuss OPINIONS!) is just out of control! It's what I have always said...anyone can be anything behind a keyboard! I express opinions...ideas as to how I feel our government should run. Do I base my opinion on facts? Sure...but it is my interpretation of the Constitution. People can form their own opinion of it all they want. Can't we disagree a little bit more diplomatically??
