Thread: Computers suck

So I am not the most computer literate guy in the world. I can usually get it, but nothing comes easy. Necessary evil is how I look at it. Anyways, today I decide to get a cable internet connection. I call up the isp, they say will you install yourself? I say sure. But, only if I can just hook it up and get it running today. They say just hook it up, call us and we will get it started. So I drive the half hour one way to buy the modem, come back hook it up and call. They say they can't get it to work. It must either be the modem or your connection. So, to be sure, I lug around a little 13" tv to every cable connection in between the computer to where it enters the house...there are three. They all work. So I call Motorolla, the modem company. They tell me my noise to signal crap or something like that is all messed up and I need to call the isp only they can fix that. So I call them back and after twenty more minutes of screwing around they say ohhhh you need a disc to install so it registers with us. Well why didn't you tell me that in the first place. I had to work all night I might rather have enjoyed a nap before I went to work. I was so pissed. 3 hours of screwing around for nothing. I did get a good deal though.

I read your headline and thought 'sweet! Where can I get one?' but for serious, I feel ya. I don't do computers, that's someones job.
