Thread: Should we be allowed ...

Should we be allowed to say slightly insulting things if we say them in a clever or funny way?

Like I didn't get banned or even infracted, but I got warned about personal insult on another board for writing this about a guy who is a pain to just about everybody.

I wrote " This thread is in memory of ****** who, sadly, is still with us."

The mod who warned me put a smiley face in with his warning, so I don't think he was too mad about it.

I think the guy concerned reported it, so the mod had no choice.

I think we should, Leo. I think most of the "insults" are ignored by both the insultees and the Mods, but I guess you never know when someone's not in a very good mood and they get all bitchy.

But me, personally, I would laugh!

That is funny actually. The dude must have been a real bitch to go and complain about it.

I think that's funny, I certainly wouldn't argue to issue a warning or infract.

This forum is great in repsect to the mods and that should mean a lot coming from me, someone who has a high expectation of those in any place of control or power. I like the rules here as adversed to other forums on the net concerning politics etc...

PCF would ban you for making this thread. At least a suspension.

I got banned once from there because my ISP was Verizon and they had gotten a spam bot reported from a Verizon IP. Instead of tracking the few accounts on spambot they just killed the whole network link and pissed off about 30 members who follow the rules.
