    STD Vaccine for school girls?

Should the HPV Vaccination be manditory for school girls (ages 9-12)?

My personal opinion is teach your kids (boys & girls) to abstain from sex till marriage... but I also don't want anyone to have to live (or die young) with cervical cancer.

I would say offer it, but don't force anyone to take the shots.

I say it should be up to the parents.

I say never make anything mandatory. Also, I'd let the product saturate the market and see what side eefects are caused by new drugs or vaccines. ~Inkster

It should be up a decission that the girls take with their parents. I think you shouldn't ruin the like of your kid by telling her she should stay virgin till marriage, but you can teach her responsibility, that sex is not a game and that she should do it with somebody she really loves.

Males can also have HPV, so there should be a male counterpart to the vaccine as well. Putting the burden of this virus on the female is wrong.

Most diseases can be considered an STD. The common cold can be transmitted sexually from one infected person to another, any contagious disease can be transmitted sexually, that point should be stressed as people won't readily admit that they may be candidates for any sexually transmittable disease and will most likely not be the first in line to get vaccinated, if they ever get the vaccine at all.

Once you classify anything as an STD it's considered dirty and no one wants to admit that they're susceptible to any STD or that they may already be infected.

Yeast infections in women (or even in men) can cause a bacterial infections in their partners and POOF, they've transmitted an STD.
    Men and yeast infections?
Men can get yeast infections. When men have yeast infections, they usually don't have symptoms. Men often get yeast infections from their female partner. If a woman has a yeast infection and has unprotected sex with a man, the man can get a yeast infection.
If a man has a yeast infection and has unprotected sex, he can pass is back to his partner.

WHY the hell would you the gov spend any more of our tax money (1 billion dollard a year) to teach kids about abstinence only? It's such bullshit. Half of the teens do it anyways. It all straight from the fucking Bible. Man I hate ignorant assholes.

The vaccine dosen't prevent HPV, and males CAN get it, but males cannot get cervical cancer which is what the vaccine was intended for... I think people will think they are protected from STD's when in fact they aren't.
