HA! I remember those days, late 60's & early 70's, sitting there at the dinner table in front of something I didn't want to eat for what seemed to be forever. Luckily I liked most foods, so it was usually my brother sitting there. But we had to be quiet, not get off our chair and not call the dog or the cat over to be our trash disposal. And usually, if we did not eat it that night before going to bed, my Mom would put it in a container and give it to us the next day! HA! One way or another we would have to eat it!
Damn, why don't I act the same way toward my daughter as my Mom did towards her children? My daughter gets tired of hearing that also, "Yeah, yeah that was you when you were young. I'm not you. Give me food I like only. If not, I'm getting up from the table to go listen to music and dance. If I get hungry right before bedtime, I want to be fed, but only food I like. If you don't feed me, I'm going to call Grandma and tell her that her son is starving his daughter!" **Something like that!** Ah kids these days!!
