you can not put the responsibility on teachers only. The parents are the most important factor, balming the teachers just makes them feel as though they did nothing wrong. Then they blame the friends because they kid got in to trouble and so on. Parents must accept responsibility.

    Not all kids...

I would like to think myself as one of the children who is not part of "those kids today." Well, it sure seems that way.

I agree that there is something wrong with the kids of today. I am only 14, and I have been interested in politics and current events around the world for multiple years. I think the reason that the children of today are the way they are is because they no longer have any morals. And because many parents work, they don't have as much influence in their children's lives. I am not saying that is how it is with all families. My mom is a stay at home parent and is very involved in my life. But I know more than a dozen kids whose parents both work, leaving early in the morning and returning late at night. The things they see on television or hear on the radio have some affect too. But that's just my opinion.

the fact that you guys are interersted in politics shows that there is something wrong with kids today! LOL just kidding!
They also told me I was crazy to be interested in politics when I was your age.

It's sad that there are so few kids who are interested in what is going on in the world. None of my friends can even get past the first page of some of the political books I read. And my government teacher finds it inappropriate for me to be reading about politics. But that's only because she doesn't have the same morals as I do. She teaches government in a very biased way. That's probably another reason why kids are the way they are today.

People love to say that they are not interested in politics and have no political opinion, when only saying that is showing that they have one.

I think that they are just ignorant period. For instance: I told them they were being ignorant, and they asked me what that meant. Not one of my friends knows where they stand politcally. One minute they think they are a Republican, the next they are a Democrat, and then they don't even know what they are. I don't read the news often, but I do read alot of books.

I don't think that it is because they are ignorants, I guess is also because they don't want to worry too much. Politics are really stressing. They make you mad constantly and that's taking minutes of your life away

That's a good thing! You're not really getting the full story anyway, only the filtered stuff they think you should get.
