Various links CNBC, USA Today and others can be cited on this topic. But I would like to ask about general fear levels and expectations what are they for you?

If the Democrat majority in Congress is not reversed, we will see more of the same and worse than what we have seen the past two years (and that includes the end of the Bush era).

This is the message I want to hear from candidates:

    People create jobs, not governments.

Reduce tax rates across the board.

Sound government finances. Don’t spend more than you can pay for.

Prevent scheduled income tax rate increases and move to reducing the corporate tax rate.

Stop the capital gains tax rate from going up.

Stop the dividend tax rate from going up.

Allow full same-year deductions for capital losses.

Abolish both the estate tax and the gift tax.

    Stop Cap-and-Trade legislation

End the Use of “Policy Czars” to Evade Congressional Oversight

    Institute a Balanced Budget Amendment

Wow!! I will never vote for a canidate that says all that!!

People and the government can create jobs.. The government is the single largest employer in our nation..

Reduce taxes?? Why?? Shouldn't we raise taxes for a bit to cover the spending that Bush and Obama have done?? We made the bills shouldn't we pay for it?? Besides?? How is our government supposed to work if it has no funding?? You wonder why we have the worst education system in the world and we are losing out to countries like India.. We need more funding there.. Our children are our future..

Sound government finances?? Don't spend more than you can pay for??

Ok?? What about making sure our government has the money to do what we need it to do?? Isn't the function of our government important??

The rest of that stuff is all tax cuts for the rich!! They don't need more tax cuts.. They need tax increases and tons of them!! If the top 2% of the nation is going to make and earn over 70% of the entire nations wealth then they are going to pay over 70% of the taxes.. Otherwise they can try living in poverty!!

You all should have learned from the Bush years that tax cuts to the rich do NOT create jobs!! They have cost our government a ton of money and has served no purpose.. Where are all these jobs??

    http://crooksandliar...st-more-twice-m

The Bush tax cuts have cost over twice as much as Obama healthcare and at least the healthcare package is doing something for the people of this nation.. The tax cuts are doing nothing!! Not a damn thing!! They aren't creating jobs.. They aren't helping people pay for their houses.. They aren't helping people get healthcare..

We don't need any more damn tax cuts!! Raise the damn taxes on the rich! Simplify the tax code so everyone pays the same percentage of taxes.. How bout a 15% tax rate across the board for everyone!! All forms of income are counted..

    So Majik,

Why doesn't government just employ everyone and take all the rich people's money?

I asked you this in another thread. Explain how big government economics succeed. When government creates a job, can government pay for that job out of its own self-sustaining activities? Does "good government" compete with other governments and reduce our trade deficit? Can we export "good government" and earn income with it?

The answers are no, no, no and no.

Government is an expense item on the balance sheet of the country and must be paid for by somebody. The bigger it is, the larger the expense.

So get your head out of the sand sand explain your theory.

So you support a parasite economy. You state like it is normal that the government is the largest employer, i have news for you, since they produce nothing, those jobs come at one hell of a cost.

    What grade are you in?
