This is why credit cards have the new disclosure requirements.

Thankfully, the requirements legislation passed. Handy information.

I suppose, it is a bit like the health warnings on cigarette packets. Many will choose to ignore the risks, unless they arent bluntly stated.

Oddly, republicans fought to hide this most basic of information..

But look at it this way.. It is obvious that you shouldn't use a hair dryer in the bath tub.. Yet we have a tag that says you shouldn't.. StarBucks had to put 'The beverage you are about to enjoy may be hot.' People are stupid.. Someone like you should know this most basic of information about your fellow man..

One caveat. The people who pay and own the Republicans (financial corporations) fought to hide this most basic of information.

I guess I didn't realize there was a warning of the cigarette pack. LOL

Clearly, it's not, since credit cards used to market specifically to people who were already in so much debt they'd never get out. That was the whole point--market more debt to people who clearly have a taste for it, not people who would pay off their balances. Where's the fun in that?

Say, Grump, do you have a bumper sticker on your car that says "Stupid should hurt?" You seem like that kind of guy.
Even when alternative views are clearly wrong, being exposed to them still expands our creative potential. In a way, the power of dissent is the power of surprise. After hearing someone shout out an errant answer, we work to understand it, which causes us to reassess our initial assumptions and try out new perspectives. “Authentic dissent can be difficult, but it’s always invigorating,” Nemeth says.
