    Lindsey Graham in 2012

    Watching Graham on Face the Nation. He seems like a smart, sensible guy that might make a good GOP presidential candidate. Would the party back someone like him?

    I honestly don't know. I bet there are people on the right that will call him a RINO. And people on the left that will call him a Homophobic Nazi for God.

    Like McCain he can come out in support of some BS in the name of re-election, but that's just part of the game. I'd certainly vote for him over any of the other current names in the GOP Presidential campaign roster.

    Which probably means he'd never make it with the base.

    Well he's only been in the Senate since 2002. I don't know if "keeps electing" is appropriate.

    Anyway it's probably a bad idea to elect him President. We need a President from South Carolina like we need another South Carolina.

    Ah. Wasn't he in the House before that? Of course his district could have been conservative and not liked him, liberal and not liked him, and moderate and not liked him.

    My only point is that someone has to like the guy or they wouldn't have elected him. He has to have some kind of base. Or maybe being equally disliked by everyone makes him the perfect compromise candidate?

    Doesn't he also make the "Men who look like old lesbians" list?
