So, our new repub governor McDonnell has put forth a few good things IMO since he was inaugerated weeks ago.

Seventy mph speed limit, eliminating radar dector laws are a couple, but when a liberal friend of mine started complaining about an an internet tax for purchases online, I had to look more into what that curtailed.

I came to the conclusion that this may a good thing for our state in two ways. One being the revenue in general, secondly, I think would help small businesses in the state as well.

Maybe it will persuade consumers to actually support their locally owned small business.

    What say you?

70? I thought it was just thought it was 70 right before NC. Yes! I wish it was retroactive. Would eliminate my 2 speeding tickets. And I'll be whipping out my detector from the back of my closet immediately.

Good point. WIll it stop me from purchasing? Probably not because the prices are generally lower on the internet for what I shop for. I hate malls so I've even resorted to buying clothes online and the stores I shop from offer online exclusives and promotion codes. But I also live in an area where driving 2 miles for something took 45 minutes today. Convenience is key.

Are the rest stops open yet?

Hadn't heard anything on that yet, but that's more of an issue to you women then us men.

He did mention opening them during his campaign, but you know how those promises go.

You can always get one of these until they open them up though.

I don't stop at them ever since I saw 'There's Something About Mary' (kidding, they just scare me..I always think I'm going to be kidnapped) but I've found that the nice gas stations have lines since they closed. Perk of traveling for a living I guess.

That's what I was wondering too.

I would think it depended on where the online company's base location is.
