Oklahoma City mall is at a crossroads

Oklahoma City mall is at a crossroads

23,000.............thats 23 thousand retailers set to close shop, forever......

Let that sink in and consider the ramifications of that, imagine retailers with everywhere between a dozen to thousands of employees closing their doors, FOREVER!!!

Let that sink in, then consider the next round of foreclosures........

just think about that, and think about the support industries an the impact........

As you know, this is the beginning of the end of the century of the self. Americans are going to learn that consumerism has failed and the only true economics is that of savings and living within ones means. I kow, it is a hard lesson to learn but there are some people you just can not reach.

No, but the 23,000 retailers is a big ass number, and it's real.

That must be one hell of a mall with 23000 retailers. Is this not the second thread you have started about this mall in OK?

WTF, I stated 23,000 retailers are set to close, I never said they were in this mall. You can joke all you want, today the earnings come out, I will give you something to laugh about, laugh till you puke.

I'm sorry, is this thread about the Oklahoma City Crossroads Mall? Or not? Frankly, as far as malls go, it's not even that big. According to Wikipedia, it has about 100 stores, and four anchors (all vacant).

Our local mall is the Willow Grove Mall, and while it's good-sized (130 stores, three anchors (one vacant)), it's not setting any records.

And I have no idea how you're going from the topic of a 100-store mall to "23,000 retailers."

The mall is symbolic of the crash. Soon malls across the country will be closing, and as a result, a new wave of foreclosures.

Do you people not think. I mean if it is not printed on your forehead, do you not see it???

US companies cut 45,000 jobs even before stock market opens

I guess I can drop this here, good as place as any.

This is going to be a year like no other, the great depression will look like a cake walk, at least back then people had land to farm.
