Now at your door is not a hungry family from next door. They were there yesterday, and you fed them.
And they sung your praises.
Today there are one hundred hungry people at your door. At they want fed. Now. a few will no doubt feel that it is your duty to share, and they have no intention of eating squirrel, pigeon, or local herbs.
That you and your family who planned ahead should go hungry will not deter them. If they thought that way they'd have put up food of their own.
Even if you were prodigious enough in your preparations that you can feed the 100 today, what do you suppose tomorrow will bring? And what happens when the mob is told that you are unable to comply?
