McCain is going to save the economy, you watch.

They say it appears the house and senate dems are close and that senate repubs are also pretty much in agreement, but the republican house members are the ones not on board. They probably have something prepared for McCain to say that the repub house will say ok, we can agree with that. The bill will be agreed upon by all and then all the repubs will come walking out saying, "that John McCain, we never could have done it without his expert leadership".

Then you will be able to tell who the really ignorant are because they will be the ones coming out saying, "See, thats the kind of guy we want in the Whitehouse, somebody who can get things done!"

I just hope the country is not stupid enough to swallow it.

After 8 years of corruption, it's not too hard to guess what's going on... and I'd say you're pretty much spot on there Prag, though, at the back of my mind, I have to wonder if there are some truths to MichaelR's predictions that the NeoCon plan all along is to bankrupt America to make way for the NAU conversion.

I think you need to let it stay in the back of your mind and not let it out your mouth or through your keyboard. You might risk looking like Michael.

Re: Here's how we save the economy

The real problem with our economy is that we have systematically outsourced 20/hr jobs, and replaced them with 10/hr. jobs. The congress consented to deregulating the banks and lending instutitions, giving them a green light to practic loan sharking which 30 years ago was illegal. Bundling bad loans and selling them as securities should be regulated. With globalism folks were encourged to invest offshore, and with it went the flow of capital out of the country.
Now they are saying it doesn't matter who stole the money we must bail them out or our whole economy would collapse. There is no mention of those who have lost their jobs, homes, insurance, or means of finding a job paying a living wage. They want to retrain engineers to be WalMart greeters.

Goldwater finds himself quite cynical and needs an inspirational leader.

I agree about McCain. His past behavior is one reason that the economy is in this mess.

But where is the great economist Ron Paul? We have yet to hear from him on this matter. Where is the living god of economics. Silent, as usual. Doing nothing, as usual.
