Bank Armageddon: The FDIC is Strapped for Cash

So you still think the FDIC will bail you out, they may but at what price?? How long will it take? What are you going to do if they can't?

When they run out of money, what they will do is take tax payer money and give it to the people that are insured. Or we could just print it, we do have an unlimited supply anyway.

Having observed the aftermath of the 1975 Mississippi banking panics I would say you should have six months income in each of two banks. A fair number of people lost their homes waiting for the FDIC to get their thumbs out. They were not much faster than the liquidation of the non-FDIC banks who were 90% of the bank panic.
