Thread: Is NY likely to implode?

The "Progressive" state such as CA, MI and NY are having financial problems. CA has all sorts of sexy problems like fires, floods and earthquake; MI has to worry about the bears in Detroit and I don't mean a visiting football team; but NY has been in more or less continuous trouble since the St. Lawrence Seaway bypassed Erie. Only rarely does NY make headlines of a juicy economic nature, just steady relative decline. So what are your opinions of the Albany budget crisis?

Seems like the "dumb hicks" in places like Montana, Idaho have far less troubles than the "smart people" in ny and ca.

If there's one thing I've learned in my heady youth in the private sector, and had confirmed in my public sector maturity... it's that if you scrimp and save pennies you will always have a nice sock full of pennies. If you want to make serious money you have to have complete and total contempt for it.



Money is the same as women: Worship it and put in on a pedastal and you'll spend your life without it, treat it like shit and it'll flock to you and bring it's sexy friends. i swear if you went into a bank and sai dyou wanted to borrow ten grand to wipe your ass with it, they;d probably offer to 20 because they like your style. Tell them you want to borrow for a house to live in and see their eyes roll.



New York and California lead the world in wealth because when they need money they just revolutionize shit and make piles more of it.
