For proof of this, imagine what happens if all power plants, gas stations, and moving vehicles suddenly stopped working and could not be "turned on" again. No amount of Federal policy, State policy, Local policy, and not even International policy would enable to fix the whole me. Billions would DIE.
Alternatively, guess what happens when we expand the money supply? Those same resources get used up at a faster pace...
UNTIL a disproportionate amount of resources are devoted to "managing money", an offbeat maintenance which shys ourselves away from extracting actual natural resources, with the effect of slowing down the economy.
There is a very strong correlation between the GDP and the product of work ethic and energy usage. The use of energy equivalent to one human slave adds $200 to our GDP, about the same as the GDP per capita of countries that lack basic power infrastructure.
