    Britain Protests

20-30,000 protest at the Labour Party Convention. Thousands who apparantly didn't notice that 1.5 million marched in London before the war and Labour didn't give a squat.

There is censorship in the Media, even here in the US. Supposed to be free press, but there are so many issues that affect the People in such a way, not just the US, but like in Britian, where the best coverage you're going to see is an article on the Internet. People will be lucky to see it.

Someone doesn't want it over the air waves. Imagine the surrpised look on the Democratic candidate here when I explained what a Free Speech Zone was. He thought I was lying through my teeth at first just because it wasn't on TV.

    He knows better now.

I envy the western Europes politcal system, they hold their governments to such a higher standerd. Perhaps if I can ever finish law school and get my international law degree I could work there a good portion of the year in London.

The same type creeped out 20 years ago to protest Reagan when he was trying to defend them with Pershing missiles. If Britain bugs out on us, then that will be the last country in europe that can expect america to come to their aid when they are at war.

They are the only country in Europe really coming to our aid. It came out 20 years ago, Europeans are much more involved and well informed about their government than a majority of Americans.

Why shouldn't we bug out on you?? You didn't help us during the Falklands war.. but we won't cop out, don't worry.. at least not in Iraq and Afghanistan

Roach your killing me... your fighting the good fight and constantly getting it wrong.

I'm pretty sure America was on board in the Falklands War. The two militaries were peas in a pod at the time. I think Satellites were the main US contribution... and CIA ground work.

And I haven't checked that (I work for a living) so if anyone knows different... fire away.

Since the Second World War Britain has always regarded herself as America's closest ally and this is all the thanks we get.
