Montana senator's nephew dies in Iraq

Sad... I was amazed any politicians kids are there. I also read where McCain's son is enlisting (wonder if he'll see combat?) I made a hilghlight for all you rightwing warmongers...

Cpl. Phillip E. Baucus, 28, died Saturday during combat operations in Anbar province, the Department of Defense said. It did not immediately release further information.

In a statement, Baucus, D-Montana, said the family was "devastated by the loss."

I hate seeing the news of those who have fallen, and think of the families in my prayers. I'm sure his father understood why he went and why he chose to serve, but it doesn't help much, does it, when you lose a child.
I like McCain. I saw a great bumper sticker a few months ago :
    "John McCain - 2008
    If we make it..."
I want one of those! If he's got skeletons, they're probably poor excuses for skeletons. But somebody will drag them out and exaggerate and blow them all out of proportion. Happens to most politicians, especially as they inch closer to the Big Job.

He believes in censorship. That McCain/Feingold campaign finance nonsense stands in direct opposition to the First Amendment. It prohibits and punishes the most important thing that the right to free speech is supposed to guarantee: open discussion of candidates and issues at election time. McCain and Feingold have argued that they have to regulate the Internet, AND regulate e-mail. (And Bush was stupid enough to sign it)

The First Amendment seems pretty simple to me. What part of "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech...." don't they understand?
