"Two Israeli teenage girls escaped a kidnapping attempt Thursday at a hitchhiking post located at the Rahelim Junction in Samaria.

An initial investigation carried out by the IDF revealed that three Palestinians from Jenin arrived by car to the bus station and tried forcing the girls into the car at gunpoint."

"We sat in a hitchhiking post and saw a car approaching, but when we realized they were Arabs we sat down again. An Arab man came out of the car with a gun and aimed it at us. We tried to run away, and I ended up on the ground while one of them started beating me up until a Border Guard jeep showed up," she said.

Soldiers appear and they run. They are cowards that would attack these two children. Armed and trained soldiers that would pose a challenge...nevermind then!

You forgot to mention that those girls are absolute morons. Even after repeated warnings from the Israeli govt about hitchhiking in the West Bank because of previous kidnappings, they do it anyway, and when asked after the kidnapping attempt if she'd hitchhike again, one of them says she doesn't know...

After reading the bit from the article where one of their fathers whines about how the IDF doesn't protect the settlers, it's clear stupidity must be in the genes of that particular family. If he's so worried about the safety of his family, he should move them back to Israel, instead of insisting on illegally squatting in the middle of a war-zone.

Nobody should hitchhike, regardless what country it's in....whether it's young females or young males, hitchhiking is a bad idea and putting yourself in a potentially dangerous situation.
