instead of following your lead I spend a large amount of my own time working with the small democracy of bipartisan mods to actually make, and enforce, sane... fair... rules... and make a difference.

Inky may sometimes go overboard, but his general point is worth a good, hard discussion. Many, many, many, many, many, many racist statements and actions from the Right have been made public in the last three years and all too often I have seen Conservatives here jump at the chance to DEFEND such things instead of condemning them. It is disturbing to say the least.

The lastest fuck-up at CPAC is a very recent glaring example. Banning a group of gay Conservative quislings so that you are back in bed with momma and papa evangelical is one thing, but to have actually invited TWO rabid, and I mean, rabid, white supremacists to your conference is just way beyond the pale. And then to claim that you have no control over the choice.... that is just plain old kid's stuff. It happens too often and in such a brazen way that it can no longer be ignored.

How in the world can the Republican Party claim to want to have any kind of minority outreach when it allows this kind of shit to happen? And don't come back and say that CPAC and the GOP have nothing to do with each other! They are practically joined at the hip. EVERY single GOP presidential candidate still in the race and 3 who have dropped out all spoke at CPAC. CPAC is as inexpendable to the GOP as one's liver is to the body.

In exactly one week from today I will be opening a mega-thread called "The Rep******* **** ** *****" (Y'all can guess the title for a week, should be fun stuff) in which I will present documented example after example after example of wildly inappropriate, unamerican, racist / bigoted / xenophobic / homophobic / intolerant behaviour from elected GOP representatives, from paid party workers, from personalities who enjoy high name recognition in the US-American media and then the Conservatives here can have a chance to actually distance themselves from it or embrace it. You should know that I have been saving this data for a long, long time, have analysed it, have linked it. It is an enormous amount of data and I will be feeding this thread EVERY SINGLE DAY until the General Election 2012, and then beyond.

Why I am doing this? Well, for one, so many such incidents have occured that we often forget the amount and severity of them. This thread will help to remind us all of FACTS, not fiction.

It has gotten so bad and is portrayed so often in the media as if it is acceptable that it is, per se, becoming acceptable! This is a sure sign of decline within a nation when people sink THIS LOW.

So, Inky may go overboard, but he has a point, whether you like it or not. And I have decided to statistically prove it point. Look at my sig file and you will know that I am dead serious about this:

"N4mb3rz: Math triumphs over propaganda."

I challenge every Conservative here to come up with a thread involving the same time period (say, let's start with just the last 20 years, from 1992-2012) that will be as long and as intensive as mine. Once we have exhausted these 20 years, we can gladly go back another twenty years to 1972, and then to 1952, and then to 1932, etc. etc etc... Good luck with that!

So it sort of sounds like you will be putting up examples of what you consider to be racism. And then anyone who disagrees with your opinion will be labeled a racist.
