    LOL

Or accidentally staple your foot to the roof because you haven't slept in 4 days and your eyes cannot focus due to sleep deprivation.

That happened to a friend of mine on a 4 day meth binge.

That stuff will keep you going and let you burn the candle at both ends so to speak, but since the human body needs sleep it will only work for so long. There's no getting around that. If you stay awake for 3 or 4 days in a row, eventually, no matter how much energy you have, the effects of sleep deprivation will kick in. Your eyes lose the ability to focus due to muscle fatigue and stationary objects will appear to be moving around.

A lot of people are on pain meds, legally. Same basic ingredient as heroin. Any drug, taken in small doses won't necessarily impair you from day to day activities, but I wouldn't want people being drunk at work any more than I would want them doing illegal drugs.

How about we drug test all corporate executives from corps that get tax breaks or individuals who have offshore bank accounts?

I call bullshit. If drug testing legislators would be illegal, the illegal part would automatically be set aside. He would have no reason to withdraw his bill because the unconstitutional part would simply be unenforceable. Next thing he'll be telling us that blood-alcohol testing of driving legislators would be illegal. How about laws requiring them to pay taxes - are those laws illegal?

And all people who receive any benefit or payment whatsoever from government. Included should be pensions, unemployment insurance, workman's compensation, income tax credits on income tax calculations, people who holiday in state or national parks, anybody using a federally mandated airport, people who use the post office, gun owners who claim rights under the 2nd Amendment, people who purchase government taxed alcohol...? The list could be endless. Don't be afraid of Big Brother. He is your friend. Just ask Rotten Ronny Reagan or dubya.

Oh yeah, and let's not forget everyone who drives on a government road or highway.

Why? Is it not safe to assume if they have been convicted of a drug offense they have been punished by the court? You want MORE punishment, And ,depending on exactly what form the "welfare" takes, you want to punish the children of the offender as well? Why do you mention ONLY drug offenses?

Oh, so it IS all about MORE punishment and NOT about saving the taxpayer money. What state-supported agency would be responsible for caring for those minor children you've just taken away from their druggie parent(s)?
