Sacramento Area Mosque Targeted With Toxic Pig

    SACRAMENTO —
An area mosque has been drawn into the debate over a religious center near ground zero in New York City. A plastic pig was put in that mosque's mailbox, toxic messages were scribbled across it.

Islamic leadership in our area isn't saying exactly where that mosque is, for fear that they could be targeted further.

"No Mosque in NYC," "Remember 9-11," and "Mo-Ham-ed" were the messages on the mosque. The pig is intended to be particularly offensive because followers of Islam are prohibited from eating pork.

Teenagers Charged in Harassment at Mosque

A group of teenagers in western New York has been accused of harassing members of a mosque by yelling obscenities and insults during evening prayers for Ramadan, sideswiping a worshiper with a vehicle and firing a shotgun outside, the authorities said Tuesday.
The teenagers were cornered by members of the mosque, who held them for the police. They were charged with disrupting a religious service, a misdemeanor.

I think that George Bush was successful in keeping the lid on the looney right when he was in office because they couldn't be disrespectful to their fearless leader, but now that he is gone, all bets are off.

That's what I think. Their contempt for Obama has given them what they feel is justification for behaving like complete assholes. I know when George Bush was re-elected - I was stunned and heartbroken and spent a lot of the next four years gritting my teeth but I certainly didn't take it out innocent people just because someone I loathed who was in charge.

I put up with 8 years of that ^^^ and I survived without losing my dignity. Conservatives can too.

This country still belongs to everyone, people need to stop taking their anger out on those who don't deserve it.

Our government policies haven't changed one damn bit regarding the rights of Muslims or illegal immigrants or any other minority group since Obama has become president, but for some reason a certain portion of the population (who I suspect watches Fox a lot) seem to think that Obama has inspired some sort of uprising of all non-white people and they will "take over" if they aren't put in their place.

No good can come of this kind of thinking. Please stop shitting in your own yard.

The RWNJs have also distanced themselves from President Bush by tossing him under a bus and claiming he wasn't a true Conservative.

What do you call him with his expansion of government and big time spending, and I'm talking bailouts as well as war spending. That sure as hell isn't representative of a conservative. RWNJ, my ass.

Then why didn't the "true Consevatives" at the time stop him instead of spending all their time dumping on the Dixie Chicks?
