    BP told feds it could handle oil spill 60 times larger than Deepwater Horizon

    Well, BP, I would think it would now be time to put up, or shut up.

    I would think it is time to begin imposing fines on BP for this problem. It has had time to fix it and has not. The spill will have an effect on the entire gulf cost. So much damage has been done and will be done. If this Oil is still in the gulf when hurricane season hits, there is no telling how much damage it will do and how far it may spread. Though this is really the first mishap of it's kind it shows just how dangerous is off shore drilling. That needs to stop. The environment is just to precious to all of us to have them muck things up this badly. This is bad but the next one could be far worse.

    I's wait until the leak is stopped. No point in demonizing them now.
