    Justice Clinton?

    Justice Clinton? | News | Advocate.com
The White House on Monday afternoon squashed growing speculation that President Barack Obama might nominate Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to fill the Supreme Court vacancy created by the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens.

According to Ben Smith at Politico.com, White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said, "The President thinks Secretary Clinton is doing an excellent job as Secretary of State and wants her to remain in that position."
Is this a possibility. There are few questions that anyone can ask her that they already don't know the answer to.

I think they've already shot down this idea; but it would be a good choice imo.

I think it would be very good. She would make a good justice. Her heart would be in the job as well.

That is also not a bad idea. he would be excellent at the task. Either one of them would be able to do a great job.

    Re: Justice Clinton?

Regardless of Clinton's merits, picking her would be seen as a political stunt and a radical choice (despite Clinton not being radical).
I've seen a couple articles that list out the more likely candidates, along with a few wildcards. Most of them are unknown female judges.
I get the sense the next justice will be female but not a celebrity, probably a lot like Sotomayor.

It more than likely will be. What would be great is a lesbian who at one time had an abortion. That would really piss of the right.

I don't like Hillary. She's too radical for my tastes. Bill's nomination, on the other hand, would provide plenty of fireworks during the confirmation hearings; what with his impeachment and all. It would make for a right entertaining show.

They would almost have to confirm either of them without much hassle.

Either Clinton would make an excellent choice for Justice. Can you just see Clarence Thomas and Bill Clinton sitting next to each other?
