I would say that the thread was started to visually illustrate how the type of people that fight social change that will benefit the people are always the same crowd.

That is what the uneducated always say about growth and change. It's sad that they haven't learned to define communism and socialism in all these years.

It sure does ring bells - all those people in front of the Capitol yesterday spitting on a black member of Congress, using the N word to others as they pass by, using anti-gay epithets to another and all the while, waving the American flag and calling themselves "the American people" as if they represent all of us. In my personal opinion, they're a throwback to the worst of our history and would take us back there if they could.
