Do you know anything specific? The wording of this seems to be specifically just for Saturdays victims. Is that true? That seems wrong to me.

The proposed legislation would make it a misdemeanor to protest within 300 feet of a funeral from one hour before until one hour after a funeral, a spokesman for the state House said.

The action, according to House spokesman Daniel Scarpinato, is in direct response to the Westboro Baptist Church's announcement that it will picket the funeral of Christina Green, the 9-year-old who was among six people killed during Saturday's

So it looks like it is funerals in general.

I don't have a problem with it. 300 feet might even be too close for me. It is not uncommon to have protest 'areas' at different events.

Yeah, it also appears like a lot of Tucson's public is going to create a human blockade to keep the Westboro nuts far from the funeral. This law should prevent a potential violent shit storm and hopefully it is a peaceful funeral because of it.

IMO harassment laws should simply be extended.

I remember saying that months ago. Was that this forum?

I saw that. What a crazy bunch of people with Oedipus complexes. For the life of me I cannot see, even in my most extreme moments, how these baptists can make the statements they make.

I saw an article about how a group of 'angels' would greet them.

In the bible angels are said to provide an escort to heaven. I wonder what the angels have in mind?
