They said they'd blow it up if no ransom was paid by yesterday. No ransom was paid, so now they've changed their minds. The Somalian government has authorised the Ukrainians to use military force to recover the ship - the Ukrainian government has said it will not do so; nor will they negotiate or pay a ransom. The pirates claim they are currently in negotiations with someone over the ransom, but don't say who - presumably the owner if they're not lying.

here's a news flash Mr. Conspiracy, the pirates are nothing more then that. They have no political cause. They are not sharing their wealth with the masses. Its going into the pockets of warlords to fuel their self-interests.

The solution to this piracy of course has to come in the form of creating a legitimate sovereign state in Somalia which does not exist. It has no government.

If Somalia had oil you bet the world would have invaded it and installed a caretaker puppet government.
