WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby has been found guilty on four of five counts in his perjury and obstruction of justice trial.

Libby, 56, faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and a fine of $1 million.

The five-count indictment against the former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney alleges perjury, obstruction of justice and making false statements to the FBI and a grand jury investigating how Valerie Plame was outed as a CIA operative.

Here's the problem- At least one of the charges was 18 USC 1001 which amounts to lying to an investigator. You can get a ham sandwich convicted of a violation of 18 USC 1001.

Libby got what he deserved. Investigations into Cheney arent over, and if its determined he broke the law he needs to be punished.

But I love how the leftists on the board scream and bitch and moan about "rights" and "compassion" etc, yet they assume anyone guilty til proven innocent if they disagree with their political views.

Laughable and sad...but very typical.
