Well, I know know this is like sand in your vagina, as you have demonstrated in another thread that you're a sexist homophobe (man-dyke comments about Maddow).
I think she's a beautiful person on the inside and out.

First of all, it's a paid spokesperson and it works like this: You want someone with a lot of positives and few negatives. Whether you like it or not, Ellen DeGeneris is EXTREMELY likable. That is what got her the a top rated show and that is what got her the Cover Girl job.

Second, you have a pretty narrow opinion of "beautiful" in my book.

Third, it also works as counter-advertising. It gives Cover Girl the chance to say that they are not just about Super Models. Also, they are acknowledging that women out there are pretty smart. They know that a switch to a different make-up company isn't going to make them look like a 22 year old bikini model.

Fourth, after a little research, it appears that Cover Girl has a track record of using non-model celebrities as spokespeople, including Queen Latifah and Drew Barrymore.

Fifth, DeGeneris doesn't promote EVERY product the company makes, in fact she promotes something called "Simply Ageless" make-up (whatever that is)... and that might be because at the age of 52 she is thought of by many to be a beautiful and likable person.

...of course it could also be yet another example of gays attacking traditional American values... it's a tough call really.

Ellen Degeneris is unattractive having nothing to do with her being a lesbian. Here being an unattractive woman hired by Covergirl as a model seems to have had something to do with her being a lesbian since she is the first unattractve person to be made into a model by covergirl. Perhaps there is another reason other than being a lesbian why she was made a model for them. do you have any ideas why?
